Should I service my HVAC unit regularly? Or should I just wait until I notice something wrong?
Think of your HVAC unit like you would your car: if you ignore regular maintenance on your car such as an oil change or checking the air in your tires, then your car will break down a lot faster and might have bigger issues down the line. The same goes for your HVAC system! Changing filters regularly and having a professional perform regular maintenance (we recommend twice a year ideally, but once a year is typically okay depending on the age of the unit, if you live near a lot of pollution, etc.). We offer both regular Maintenance Visits, as well as a Preventative Maintenance Plan for guaranteed bi-annual Maintenance Visits (usually one visit in the Spring, and one in the Fall).
Do you offer free visits?
We offer free visits only for estimates on installations. All other visits for maintenance or repairs are not free.
How do I sign up for your Preventative Maintenance Plan Agreement? How much is it?
To sign up for a Preventative Maintenance Plan with S&W, you can either give our office administrator a call at (540) 217-2602 (Line 1), or you can talk to one of our technicians in person the next time we’re at your home or business. You’ll pay $16 per month and will receive 2 visits per year. The typical recommendation is to do one maintenance visit in the spring before your A/C is on regularly for the summer, and one maintenance visit in the fall before your heat is on regularly for the winter.
